NOMINAL THERMAL POWER OF A COMBUSTION UNIT
The Nominal Thermal Power of a Combustion Unit is given by the following formula:
|
PHIN = MPV x ( HOUT - HIN ) |
|
Where:
- PHIN: Nominal thermal power of the boiler in MJ/s or MW
- MPV: Mass flow of water/steam in kg/s
- HOUT: Specific entalpy of outcoming water/steam from the boiler in kJ/kg
- HIN: Specific entalpy of incoming water to the boiler in kJ/kg
