The boiler efficiency is given by the following formula:

Where:

  • ETAB: Boiler efficiency. Normally between 0,8 and 0,9
  • PHIN: Nominal thermal power of the boiler in MJ/s or MW:
  • PHIF: Total thermal power of the fuel used in combustion unit in MJ/s or MW
